Programs for Veterans

Did you know that Rutgers was ranked third among national higher education institutions in the Military Times "Best for Vets" survey for friendliness to vets?  Rutgers is proud of its exceptional commitment made to student veterans.  The United States Veterans Administration operates various education assistance programs for eligible veterans, war orphans, surviving spouses or children of veterans killed while on duty with the Armed Forces, disabled veterans, dependents of veterans with service related total disability, and certain members of the selected reserve.  In addition, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Labor (DoL) and the Department of Education (DoE) all administer a number of employment, education, and training programs for veterans.

The major programs offered are:

The Montgomery G.I. Bill - Active Duty
The Montgomery G.I. Bill - Selected Reserve
    Veteran's Educational Assistance Program (VEAP)
    Veteran's Upward Bound
    Veteran's Employment and Training
    Military Spouse MyCAA Program
